Little bings
These piles of grassed over ironstone waste are sited all along the top of the Corrie gully near Burnhead.

Limekilns remains
There was a limestone mine further up the burn and the lime was moved by mechanical means along to a bank of six limekilns here. They and the mine are shown on the First Ed. [Stirling Sheet XXVIII.7. Kilsyth] in 1859. These mounds are all that remain though the farmer was sure one kiln was still there.

Path sign below Corrie
Unfortunately some core paths are tarred roads, but they are very popular here. The exception (still popular) is the rough road up to Corrie and on to the hill.
