Rough pastureland on the edge of Killearn Glen
Looking south-eastward. [I was expecting this to be a path into the Glen but the gate from which the picture was taken was locked and heavily barbed.]

The Cow Field
Previously known as Crow Hill. Beyond the dead tree (left centre) was the site of The Place of Killearn - once the most important house in the village, built in 1688. It fell into disrepair in the first half of the 19th century and was later demolished.

The Pepperpot
The garden of 'The Pepperpot' on Station Road, Killearn was open as part of the Scotland's Gardens Scheme. Eight members of the Killearn Cottagers' Horticultural Society opened their gardens to visitors for the day in aid of local charities.

Ladies Linn
A water feature on the Kirkhouse Burn which was part of the pleasure garden for The Place of Killearn - once the most important house in the village, built in 1688. It fell into disrepair in the first half of the 19th century and was later demolished. The Ladies Linn was associated with a stone pavilion where tea may have been served.
