Originally dating from 1833, Glengoyne Distillery was modernised in 1966, allowing it to produce about 1,200,000 litres of single malt whisky every year. It sits beside the A81.

Glengoyne Distillery
Distilling was started here by George Connell in 1807, and when a licence was granted in 1833, the distillery was known as Glenguin of Burnfoot. In was not until 1907 that the distillery was called 'Glengoyne'.
