Balfron Bowling Club
The club's badge on the end of the clubhouse. The wolf and tree relate to Balfron's history. According to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balfron the name Balfron means 'cottage of mourning' in Gaelic. This originates from a legend that the village was attacked by wolves, which stole children out of their homes. The tree represents the Clachan Oak Image, where William Wallace is said to have rested and later Rob Roy is supposed to have hidden.
