The post office building on Douglas Street was part of the redevelopment of Milngavie in the 1970s. The current internal layout has a small post office counter at one end. The rest of the ground floor comprises of a small convenience store (Day-Today Express).

Barber and charity shop, Milngavie
Truva Barber and the debra charity shop on Douglas Street are both still closed due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. While hairdressers in England were able to reopen on 6 July, people in Scotland will have to wait a wee bit longer for a haircut, and barbers and hairdressers can hopefully operate again here from 15 July.
