Path beside the Craigdhu Burn

Bank of the Craigdhu Burn
While work is under way on a new waste water pumping station beside Galbraith Drive, scaffolding poles have been set up across the burn as a temporary barrier to prevent large debris being washed downstream. Any such debris might block a culvert where the burn goes under the A81.

A deviation of the burn
These scaffolding poles were set up across the Craigdhu Burn about 5 years ago as a barrier to prevent large debris being washed downstream. Any such debris might block a culvert where the burn goes under the A81. A good theory, but the build-up of debris has resulted in the burn finding a way around the barrier by eroding part of the southern bank.
