Cafe Alba, Main Street, Milngavie
Following the lockdown due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Cafe Alba started doing a home delivery and takeaway service. From 15 July pubs and restaurants, hairdressers and barbers, cinemas, tourist attractions and places of worship in Scotland have been able to reopen as the lockdown measures are relaxed further. The cafe has reopened and has provided extra outdoor seating under the arcade, allowing more customers to sit outside if they prefer.

Colpi Gelateria
Colpi's have been selling ice cream in Milngavie since 1928 Image In summer 2021 they expanded into the former Santander premises to open the Gelateria (in addition to the original shop). It sells fresh artisan ice cream, fresh juices, sorbets, milkshakes and fruit coolees. The ice cream is 'freshly made every day to a 100 year old recipe using pure ingredients. It is hand-crafted in small batches with full cream milk from the banks of Loch Lomond.'

Looking through the arches
The arcade beside shops on Main Street, Milngavie. The words written in chalk under the nearest arch read 'STAND HERE CLICK & COLLECT'. The shop nearest the photographer, which sells health and beauty products has been able to re-open for click and collect since Monday 5th April, as part of the relaxation of Coronavirus restrictions in Scotland.
