The lights are still on inside
But not for long. Royal Mail informed staff on the 18th July that the Hillfoot Delivery Office would have to close immediately, following the discovery of RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) within the building. This was the final day of operation (20 July).

Enquiry Office, Bearsden Delivery Office
Royal Mail informed staff on the 18th July that the Hillfoot Delivery Office would have to close immediately, following the discovery of RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) within the building. This was the final day of operation (20 July).
This was where customers would go to collect mail and parcels that couldn't be delivered.
