Former garage, Salkeld Street
A Category B listed building http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33531, dating from 1933. Originally built as a car showroom for the Leyland Motor Company, it was then used for dogs and as stables by Strathclyde Police. It has been empty and disused for several years and is on the Buildings at Risk Register https://www.buildingsatrisk.org.uk/details/928476. The M74 can be seen in the background.

Railway bridge over Salkeld Street
Four railway lines used to cross here (there are now just two), but following the closure of Cumberland Street station to the east in 1966, the southern two lines were removed and the bridge which carried them was demolished. The remains of the bridge supports can be seen on the left.
