Ex-Caledonian '812' class 0-6-0 Corkerhill Locomotive Depot
At the Glasgow Depot of the ex-Glasgow & South-Western Railway, resting on a Sunday is ex-Caledonian McIntosh '812' class 3F 0-6-0 No. 17596 - still 'LMS' and not yet renumbered, built c. 1905 and withdrawn 10/61. In 1946, Corkerhill (coded 30A) had an allocation of 95 locomotives:- 15 4-6-0, 28 4-4-0, 11 2-6-0, 24 0-6-0, 5 0-6-0T and 12 0-4-4T; the majority were ex-Caledonian and only 3 ex-G&SW remained.

Ex-Highland Railway 0-6-0 at Corkerhill Locomotive Depot, Glasgow
No. 57695 is a P. Drummond Highland Railway 3F 0-6-0, built c. 1900 and withdrawn 1/52. Few Highland locomotives survived into Nationalisation. (See also Image]).
