Former grain stores at Speirs Wharf
The 5km branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal from Stockinfield Junction to the original terminus here, built by engineer Robert Whitworth, is a Scheduled Monument (SM6771). The former grain mills and stores, built in the 1850s-1860s, are category B listed (under several entries) but now converted to apartments.
