Butterfly and Butterfly Orchid
A Small Heath butterfly (Coenonympha pamphilus) resting on a Greater Butterfly Orchid (Platanthera chlorantha). Small Heaths are relatively common at Cathkin Braes Country Park. The orchids are only found in a few discrete patches.

Castlemilk Park is an area of woodland in the middle of the Castlemilk housing scheme, which dates originally from the 1950s. At its southern edge on Ardencraig Road this path gives access to the Park.
