Tree in flood
This slight hollow stands at the bottom of a slope in Linn Park popular for sledging in winter and egg-rolling on Easter Sunday. After the last few days' heavy rain quite a lot of water has collected there - not a particularly unusual sight in the winter.

Brambles in Linn Park
The brambles, or blackberries as they call them south of the border, are growing next the path that follows the north side of the White Cart through Linn Park (apparently unmarked on the OS maps). Lots of brambles grow in Linn Park but they don't get very much sun in this location and they are still some way short of ripe; brambles elsewhere are much closer to edible.
