A big bus shelter
It is quite possible that Glasgow may boast the biggest bus shelters in the country, and possibly the world. I briefly took shelter from the drizzle in the near end of this one on Carmunnock Road, and felt like I was in some kind of extension. Whilst not fully enclosed they do come with a generous canopy, and the design certainly seems to be standard, in this area of the city anyway. I paced it out as 12 foot long. It is certainly a fair bit longer than the ones I am used to in West Lothian and Edinburgh, and I shall be paying more attention to them from now on, to establish some kind of pecking order. So if you see anyone discreetly measuring up a shelter in the future just say hello, it will probably be me. The bridge in the distance is the first of a group of three, all carrying railways over the road. I'm not sure if it is a bit of a local landmark, but there is a Three Bridges Care Home sitting in amongst them.
