End of a tenement block
A branch of the Ashoka restaurant chain sits at the unusually shaped end of this tenement block, on the north side of Argyll Street near the point where it meets Sauchiehall Street. At this time of the day and year most of the building is in the shadow of the tenements across the street. Since it is New Year's Day there is very little traffic of any sort.

West side of Radnor Street
Just one block long, Radnor Street runs between Argyll Street and Sauchiehall Street. Its west side is seen here in its entirety, looking across the junction where it meets Argyll Street. The sandstone tenement is typical of the West End and many other parts of Glasgow.

Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow
Sauchiehall Street is one of Scotland's most iconic streets, second perhaps only to Princes Street in Edinburgh. The best known stretch is through the city centre but it does in fact extend well into the West End; this scene is near the western end at the junction with Kelvin Way and Radnor Street. The Butchershop is a steak restaurant describing itself as 'combining the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, superb Scottish beef, excellent service and a high energy atmosphere, The Butchershop is the ultimate dining experience in Glasgow’s West End'.
