Gates to Cardowan Creameries Ltd
The entrance to this business used to be slightly further west on Gallowgate and there was another entrance off Holywell Street. When the A728 dual carriageway was built the access to Holywell Street was closed off and the original access off Gallowgate was also closed off. The entrance was moved to its present position some time between 2009 and 2012, judging by Street View images.

Construction, Gallowgate
Holediggery on an epic scale as Glasgow gears up for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Unlike that other village sports day down in London, the work here has been in full public view without fences. Let's hope it is not like the last time the games were in Scotland when almost nobody turned up and the event was saved from financial ruin by Robert Maxwell.
