Entrance to St Enoch Subway Station
Located at 10 St Enoch Square G1 4DB, this glass covered entrance replaced the original entrance behind it somewhile ago. The letter "S" stands for Subway which is Glasgow's underground system, comprising of a loop of 6.5miles (10.4km) and runs north and south of the River Clyde in tunnels with an 11 ft (3.35m) diameter. There are currently 33 carriages dating from 1977-1979 running on this system, but there are plans to introduce 17 new driverless trains from 2020 which will replace these carriages. This is part of the modernisation programme currently taking place by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport for the Glasgow Subway which is also known as "clockwork orange".

Mitchell Street mural
This is one of many large and impressive murals around Glasgow. Geograph searches show that it has been up for at least 11 years. The artist's tag, which I couldn't decipher from the signature, is Smug. The artist's real name is Sam Bates, an Australian guy based in Glasgow who has contributed several of these enormous artworks to a Glasgow Council initiative that started a decade or so ago to liven up the place a bit. The initiative has been successful and it is now part of the tourist experience for some visitors - there are several online guides to the 'mural tour' available. His largely spray-painted form of realism is in demand worldwide and he definitely seems to be a leading light in his field.
This one is called 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' , named after the film. I'm not sure if it has some deep message at its core or is just a humorous picture, but had I hung around a while I could no doubt have engineered some Leaning Tower of Pisa style comedy snap, although she could be moving in for the car I suppose. The hands aren't bad - actually quite good really as they are often an artist's Achilles' heel - and the detail in the hair is staggeringly good.

KFC, Glasgow
Picture of this wonderful art deco building on the corner of Argyle Street and Union Street now home to a Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet on the ground floor. Charles Rennie Mackintosh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Rennie_Mackintosh would be turning in his grave, but at least there's a Waterstone's Bookshop in the same building to save it from complete embarrassment.
