Sauchiehall Street, pedestrianised area
Hamish McPuke's* performances of Scottish Mouth Music would be far less affected by 'traffics noise' if he was alive today. *'Suddenly it's folk song' from the LP record The Best of Sellers, by Peter Sellers (1958). The track includes a recording of an accelerating Glasgow tramcar, resulting in the singer being 'recorded posthumously'.

At the corner of Sauchiehall Street and Hope Street. A Category B Listed building http://portal.historic-scotland.gov.uk/designation/LB33170 . The nearer part of the building dates from 1914, the part beyond the arch dates from 1929 and is in Art Deco style.

Watt Brothers
A well-known Glasgow department store, which opened in 1915 and closed in December 2019. It has been empty since closing, but part of it has recently re-opened selling Christmas-related goods. The building extends all the way to Hope Street and is Categeory B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33170.
