Maryhill railway station, Glasgow
Opened in 1858 as Maryhill Park by the Glasgow, Dunbarton and Helensburgh Railway on the line from Glasgow Queen Street (High Level) to Helensburgh, this station closed in 1961. It was reopened as Maryhill in 1993 by British Rail, firstly as the terminus of a service from Queen Street, later it was extended to Anniesland. The junction is in the distance - left for Anniesland, straight on for Helensburgh. The main station building had previously been at the end of the right-hand platform.
