Site of St Enoch railway station
This paved and cobbled path just about follows the path of the (elevated) line from the south which led to St Enoch station, which stood behind the photographer on the site now occupied by the St Enoch shopping centre. The line joined the existing line which runs above the red brick wall in the background.

The Scotia Bar
On Stockwell Street (left) at Howard Street. Dates from 1792 and is reputed to be the oldest pub in Glasgow (although others make the same claim). Once frequented by Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty, the bar is still a magnet for musicians and artistes, with regular live music http://www.scotiabar-glasgow.co.uk/ .
