The Mercat Building on a triangular site was built in 1933 and features the recessed, arched screen with Ionic columns. Listed, category A, with details at: http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33851
To the left is seen the unicorn topped Mercat Cross. Erected in 1930 the cross is listed, category B, with details at: http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33856
