Glasgow Central is the larger of the two present main-line railway terminals in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. The station was opened by the Caledonian Railway in 1879 and is currently one of 18 stations managed by Network Rail. It is the northern terminus of the West Coast Main Line.

The King George V bridge was blocked by this open topped double decker bus sponsored by Macmillan Cancer Support. Green clad supporters were there to encourage the runners on the last couple of miles in the race.
