998 Great Western Road
Built in 1877 as Carlston for James Marshall of the Saracen Foundry, this Category A listed https://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB32334 villa was regarded as the grandest house on Great Western Road. It was designed by James Boucher. It later became St Mungo's Academy Centenary Club. The ground floor windows are currently boarded up.
