University of Glasgow Boyd Orr Building
Named after the Nobel laureate Lord Boyd Orr of Brechin (1880-1971) who was Rector of the University from 1945 to 1947 and Chancellor from 1946 to 1971. Designed in Brutalist style by Architects Dorward, Matheson, Gleave and Partners in 1964, officially opened in 1972. Viewed across University Avenue.
