The green painted section of bridge crosses the River Kelvin. The rusty section beyond crosses the former railway line on the west bank of the river.

St Simon's Roman Catholic Church and presbytery
Situated on Partick Bridge Street, this Category B listed church was built in 1858. It is the third oldest Catholic church in Glasgow, and is known locally as the 'Polish Church'. This is because Polish soldiers who were stationed at nearby Yorkhill Barracks during the Second World War, worshipped in the church. There is still a Polish community in the area, who use the church.
To the right of the entrance door to the church are two metal plaques [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5251778] laid in 1992 by Glasgow's Polish community.

To the right of the entrance door to the church are two metal plaques. The inscription reads:
