St Simon's Roman Catholic Church and presbytery
Situated on Partick Bridge Street, this Category B listed church [http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB49910] was built in 1858. It is the third oldest Catholic church in Glasgow, and is known locally as the 'Polish Church'. This is because Polish soldiers who were stationed at nearby Yorkhill Barracks during the Second World War, worshipped in the church. There is still a Polish community in the area, who use the church.
