Maggie's Centre, Glasgow University Gatehouse
Glasgow's first Maggie's Centre, which opened in 2002. It is housed in a former gatehouse lodge which served the Western Infirmary and the University of Glasgow. The building, which was renovated and modernised, originally dates from about 1870, and is Category C listed. Maggie's Centres are drop-in centres to help anyone who has been affected by cancer. The former Western Infirmary is now just a pile of rubble nearby [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5688337].

Maggie's Centre Glasgow
Designed by Page/Park architects and was the second Maggie's centre to be opened. This facility has now been replaced by a new building at Gartnavel Hospital in the city. Maggie's still use this building as their offices.

Behind work continues on the major Campus Redevelopment of the former Western Infirmary site, with many new University building completed, or still under construction.
