Waiting At The Ship And Royal
A Fylde Borough Transport bus waits in Lytham St. Annes with a service to Wesham on a damp November evening on Clifton Street. Behind, the road snakes right then left as it passes Clifton Square to become Market Square.
The vehicle is a Leyland Leopard with Plaxton bodywork. Later, in the same month that this photo was taken she went on long term loan to Southend Transport and didn't return to her native Lancashire until 1987 - info from Paul Turner.

Williams Deacons Bank, Lytham
The bank on the square was built in 1900. It became in due course a branch of RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) but closed in 2015. It has now been restored and is open as a bar and restaurant called The Deacon.
