From the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramway.

The only section of the Blackpool tramway with anything like a rural aspect is the stretch between Rossall Square and Broadwater, where 'Coronation' car No 660 is seen northbound.

Car No 641 heads south from Broadwater, away from the camera. The crossover at this point is little used in modern times, but during the years of World War II was used regularly on Fleetwood Market days so that a local service could be provided between Fleetwood and Braodwater. Usually a 'Pantograph car of the series 167 to 176 was used for this service.

The 17ft high aluminium statue of Eros (or perhaps more, correctly his brother Anteros*) is an exact replica of Sir Alfred Gilbert's original, which graces The Shaftesbury Memorial at London’s Piccadilly Circus. It was one of a limited number of casts taken from Gilbert's original plasters of his 19th-century work during its restoration in 1987. Having decorated the Trocadero building, close to the original, it was sold at auction in 1997 to Doreen Lofthouse chairman of the family firm which owns Fisherman's Friend. The statue was gifted to the town and installed on the roundabout where the A585 and B5268 meet (then known alternatively as “the Broadwater Roundabout” or the “Nautical College Roundabout” but now referred to as “The Eros Roundabout”). Sadly, the aluminium statue suffered damage caused by sea air and salty water and was removed in 2005 to be replaced a year later by a bronze replica. *I am not an expert on Greek mythology but I understand the statue on the Shaftesbury Memorial isn't really of Eros, but his brother Anteros https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anteros but as it is almost universally referred as “Eros”……

Princess Alice is the one 'Balloon' car to have been rebuilt to the original open-top condition. This may well have been the last time that it ran to Fleetwood.
