Centenary class car at Fleetwood Ash Street
Behind the car can be seen the works in progress to convert the Ash Street to Fleetwood Ferry section so as to be suitable for the modern light rail vehicles which will begin to operate in 2012.

Jubilee class tram at Fleetwood Ash Street
The ugly bodywork of this car is made even worse by the drab green overall livery which does not even seem to be advertising anything in particular. But then, the Blackpool tram concern excels at making its cars look as unattractive as possible. The passengers boarding seem to be mainly of advanced years, but free travel for pensioners on Blackpool trams is only allowed if you are a Lancashire resident.
