Blackpool tram no. 634 in Lord Street, Fleetwood, Lancs
The tram is passing the Anglican Parish Church of St. Peter's. The tram, originally numbered 234, was one of a batch of twenty "Railcoaches" built by the Brush company in the 1930's for Blackpool Corporation. This one first entered service in September 1937. When photographed in May 2000 the tram was in an advertising livery for Coral Island, a large leisure facility in Blackpool which has an amusement arcade and various rides etc. for children and adults. Today the tram is owned by the Fylde Transport Trust and kept at Blackpool Transport's Rigby Road depot. Having had at least two different liveries since this photograph was taken, it is being repainted into a version of the livery seen here. It will eventually be used as part of the Heritage Fleet.
