Disused Reservoir and Power Station
Difficult to photograph as security fenced. The reservoir is only just above sea level, and looks more like a pond. The power station supplied electricity for the ICI chemical complex, now largely levelled. It is planned to replace it with a gas powered one.

Redundant Reservoir, Thornton
At one time this was a reservoir and pumping station for the ICI Hillhouse Power Station at Thornton. The ICI chemical works closed in 1992 and the power station was demolished. Although the reservoir still exists it is surrounded by security fencing and inaccessible except to birds. The Hillhouse site is still partly industrial however, and now houses a waste recovery park.
