Blackpool Hotels
Two hotels on New South Promenade. The (New) Kimberley on the right, which used to host BNP rallies, was closed down by the council http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/crime/blackpool-prom-deathtrap-closed-down-1-5519413 after being described as the worst hotel in the country. The Kenilworth on the left is a 2-star (self-assessed) guest house.

Totally Transport Festival
An array of buses along New South Promenade at the Totally Transport Festival. Although for the most part there wasn't too much actual rain there was an horrifically strong wind which seemed more in keeping with November or February than June.

Hotels on Blackpool New South Promenade
The large hotel on the right is The Waldorf, and the hotel on the far left is The Ocean Bay. The boarded up hotel in the middle was The New Kimberley. It was closed down by Blackpool Council in 2014 after being branded "A death trap".

Shadows of Desire
One of the exhibits on the Great Promenade Show, Desire by Chris Knight, is an abstract sculpture 8m high, contrasting rusty corten steel with shiny stainless steel spikes, inspired by the town's reputation as a destination for 'dirty weekends', and its hidden 'fetish scene'. It casts the shadow of a spiky heart on the promenade.

The (New) Kimberley
Image in the middle of this terrace of hotels, used to host BNP rallies. It was closed down by the council http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/crime/blackpool-prom-deathtrap-closed-down-1-5519413 in 2013 after being described as the worst hotel in the country. The hotels either side are still open but there are plans to demolish the lot and build either a new hotel or apartments on the site. Several plans have however been turned down by the council.
