As church and municipal burial grounds became full, the cemetery and crematorium at Carleton was opened in 1935 to serve Blackpool and the Fylde.

Faraday Cage
This footpath was crossed when Faraday Avenue was extended from the end of Moor Park Avenue as an alternative route for traffic accessing the Industrial estate. The safety of pedestrians was preserved by creating this modification to the path.
