The Mitre
Licensed in 1898, The Mitre on West Street is the last remaining building on Dobsons Road. It was a grocers and café until becoming the Mitre Hotel in 1902.

Robert's Oyster Rooms
Built in 1879 it was one of the first buildings on the Promenade. It was a barbers, tripe shop and milliners before opening in 1895 as Robert's Oyster Rooms.

Promenade at Birley Street junction
The Birley Street corner is better known for the signage which advertised Roberts Oyster Rooms (just visible behind the lamp-standard). The famous Blackpool Tower should be seen as well but is not illuminated this year as the lights have had to give way to painters and their scaffolding.
