Logie kirk
800 year old Logie kirk ruins and graveyard. Taken on a very cold winter's day, fog, atmosphere, genuine horror movie set scariness, I was bricking it. What a place!

All that remains of the old parish church of Logie is the west gable and the west part of the south wall. There was a church here in the 12th century but this one was built in 1684. There are many gravestones dated from the last quarter of the 17th century in the graveyard.

Logie Old Kirk: 11th century Hogback grave stone
A truly ancient gravestone dating to Viking times in the tiny graveyard at Logie Old Kirk. Hogback stones originated in a version of the Scandinavian house tomb and can be recognised by their distinctive shape.
