Cunninghame Graham Memorial
The memorial is to Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham, also known as "Don Roberto". He was an explorer, travel writer and a leading light of C20 politics, credited as a founder of the labour movement and the Scottish National Party. Born into wealth, he campaigned for the rights of the oppressed. He was even imprisoned for taking part in a demonstration. He travelled mostly in South America and this memorial is also for his favourite horse, Pampa.
