Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre
The Ranger's office of this wildlife haven amongst the industrial sites of Grangemouth. The area was railway yards in the 1960s, which then evolved into warehouses etc., and was then abandoned. The Scottish Wildlife Trust took it over in 1991 and, with help from sponsoring companies Kemfine and Syngenta, is developing the 4 ha into what is essentially a large wildlife garden, both as an educational resource and an enhancement of the urban environment with a variety of wildlife habitats. The office is decorated with wildflower paintings by pupils from local schools.
