Bin day, Polmont
Blue wheely bins from Falkirk Council who now administer the eastern part of Stirlingshire. Eastcroft Polmont, typical little boxes.

Housing in Polmont near Falkirk
Wooded ridge in middle distance is an esker formed by streams flowing in glaciers some 10000 years ago. Housing dates from 1970s and '80s.

Old milepost
At the east end of Polmont near the Polmont town sign is this very neglected Grangemouth Foundry milepost. It is in the same state as it was in 2010. The left face has the legend LINW 4MS/EDINH 20MS and the right face has FALK 3½MS/STIRG 15MS/GLASW 26MS.
