Bright begonias on a dull day
Looking along Stirling Road towards the station. The sun was hiding on my day in Dunblane, a lovely welcoming place which I hope to re-visit - these flowers added a cheery splash of colour.

Dunblane railway station
Shortly before electrification. Unfortunately I lost my train to work in the new timetable after the cables went live and can no longer use the train unless I get time off. There has been a lot of bad feeling locally with the reductions in services from Dunblane and Bridge of Allan.

Dunblane Railway Station
Lift towers and footbridge, just before the electric wires went in in Autumn 2018. The line is now electrified as far as here, but the service appears to be degraded. The bridge is used a lot as a route across the tracks as it runs between a supermarket (Tesco), its carpark and the centre of Dunblane. -- 2020 The sub standard timetable on electrification did not last long and was soon replaced by a very good service to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Journey times have been sharply reduced, but of course the fares are punitive.
