Dunblane Museum, in The Cross
"Do come in, we're larger than we look, there are eight rooms" ..... a very warm welcome awaits the visitor to the museum in Dunblane! Super displays from ancient coins via the Queen Mother's Red Cross book, and silver cups for the town vegetable show, to dolls' houses and of course a celebration of the town's most famous son, Andy Murray ..... plus a wealth of historical information in the research room - all free (donations welcome). Good gift shop too: my daughter loved her golden-post-box fridge-magnet (well how could I resist?!) - the range extends through historical items and locally-produced greetings-cards and Rennie Mackintosh prints to potted herbs for the green-minded. Great place.
