Union Canal and towpath
This stretch of the canal looks very quiet, but the tracks on the towpath show it is well used by cyclists.

Reinforced Towpath
It looks as if the towpath here has been reinforced with setts, presumably to prevent erosion of the bank if run-off is making its way down to the tortuous Glen Burn.

Great Willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum)
There is almost a hedge of seeding stalks of Great Willowherb along the towpath here. I liked the back-lighting effect of the fluffy seeds.
