Griffin on the Cross, Bank Street
A rather bizarre adornment on top of Alloa's cross, namely the head of a griffin. It is a later addition to the original cross.

Bank Street, Alloa
The former Burgh Chambers on the left were built in 1873-4 and are Category C listed. There is a Corinthian column porch with large coat of arms above [https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6159342]. To the left of this is the Category B listed Mercat Cross, possibly of 17th century date, but much reconstructed and restored, and not at its original site. In the distance is the former Chalmers Church, now Alloa's Cinema.
