Budleigh Salterton: South Parade
According to the street signage, South Parade is very short indeed, comprising only the two frontages in the centre of the picture plus the one partially out of shot (left). Immediately behind the camera it becomes Fore Street, while ahead it becomes Marine Parade.

Budleigh Salterton: The Octagon
The easternmost building in Fore Street, with a self-explanatory name. The blue plaque states that it was while staying here in 1870 that Sir John Everett Millais, P.R.A., painted his famous picture, 'The Boyhood of Raleigh'.

Commemoration boat in Budleigh Salterton
The little boat currently has 42 metal plaques on the side, remembering a loved one or special friend.
