Cycle groove by steps, Dawlish
The main road into Dawlish from Exeter is steep and narrow, and dangerous for cyclists. NCN2 follows a shared foot and cycle path to avoid the hill, but steps are unavoidable. The groove makes it easy to wheel bicycles up and down, and at intervals there are steps in the groove to deter attempts to ride a bike along the groove; there isn't much room between the groove and the wall.
