Dawlish: postbox № EX7 7, Exeter Road
A Victorian postbox, sadly daubed in graffiti, on the corner of East Cliff Road. It is emptied finally at 6pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays. The headland known as the Parson and Clerk, at Holcombe, can be seen in silhouette in the distance.

Traffic queue, Dawlish
There's a long stretch of roadworks controlled by traffic lights on the Exeter Road (A379), and consequently long queues in both directions. Here the queue is passing the junction with Elm Grove Road, with the Roman Catholic Church of St Agatha overlooking it ( see Image, Image and Image; the listed description is at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1416478 ).

Wall with recessed horse trough in Dawlish
The plaque above the trough is dated 1885; as this is at the top of a steep hill out of the centre of Dawlish, horses must have been glad of the provision of water.
