Milk Street, Exeter
The somewhat brutalist post-war architecture of St George's Hall and the market slightly mollified on a sunny morning. In fact, Milk Street was totally destroyed in the May 1942 blitz, and this replacement acts as an alleyway linking Fore Street (behind the camera) with the rebuilt George Street (also actually built along the line of the former Milk Street). http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/EM/_streets/streets_i_o.php#Milk

"The narrowest street in the world"
The plaque says that Parliament Street, Exeter, is "believed to be the narrowest street in the world: width 25" increasing to 45". Taken from the narrow High St end.

St Petrock's church, Exeter
"The interior is among the most confusing of any church ... in England" (Cherry and Pevsner). The red sandstone church dates in part from the C15 but was much rebuilt in the C19. Octagonal turret, 1737. The high windows indicate that the church was completely hemmed in until road widening in 1905 (an activity which obviously didn't affect http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/167378 .)
