Former St.Nicholas Church, Exeter
This former Roman Catholic church was built 1790-92 of Heavitree sandstone. It has now been converted into flats. For a description of the building in the 1850s, see http://www.devon.gov.uk/etched?_IXP_=1&_IXR=136143 . The building to the left, no 21, The Mint, was the refectory for St Nicholas Priory (which is directly behind the camera) and has been the subject of much restoration over the last decade. In the foreground is a herb garden.

Rowe Memorial Hall, Exeter
Seen across the intervening Priory Gardens, which has a new terrace of house on the right hand side of it, and St Nicholas' Priory, currently clad in scaffolding, on the left. The hall has planning permission for conversion to 11 flats - not sure whether this has yet happened.

St Nicholas' Priory, Exeter
"The building now known as St Nicholas Priory, is only a quarter of the original St Nicholas Priory. Ceiling and roof of refectory of St Nicholas Priory, Exeter
A medieval timber roof of the refectory of the priory. This wing of the building survived the Reformation and later neglect, before rescue work ensured its preservation in the early 21st century. Part of the building is let to tenants, but this section is open occasionally

Cycle dealers in former commercial premises, St Olave's Close
The roadway is named St Olave's Close which runs from opposite St Mary Arches church; before the Second World War, this building was at one end of St Olave's Square, now built over, and St Olave's Close did not exist
