Tarka Trail approaching Yarde
Although the line of the dismantled North Devon and Cornwall Junction Light Railway clearly continues straight ahead past the platform of the former Yarde halt to the timber gate, the route of the trail veers off to the left towards the steel gate, to cross the road.

Tarka Trail near Yarde
Following the line of the North Devon and Cornwall Junction Light Railway towards Stowford Moor. Roughly following the trail, and here crossing it at an angle is the parish boundary between Little Torrington (right) and Peters Marland.
