A pair of attached houses face along the A377 as it swings (right) across the Taw valley, first crossing the railway (see Image, which also shows Glentrothy, the further house). On the left is Elizabeth II postbox EX37 210. A narrow spur of Saddler's Close Wood extends along the cliff behind the houses. Meeting the main road here is the B3226 (foreground).

Glentrothy is also shown in Image] and Image (the railway bridge parapet can just be made out). Almost blindingly bright when seen through a tunnel of trees along the A377, and contrast has been heavily reduced.
